Macroparpa Head Back

This monster of a Cypress happens to have a tree preservation order (TPO) on it and belonged to the neighbour of my customers.

Like most coniferous trees cutting the branches back beyond living greenery results in that branch dying so we had to be selective with our pruning to leave healthy living branches instead of dead stubs.

The aim of the work was to lift the crown to let more light in below and to head it back away from the magnolia by the fence. Care was taken to try and leave the canopy looking smooth and natural. Several dead branches were also removed from over the customers allotment area whilst some were retained where they had become structural and were holding up other branches.
